The Canada First initiative strives to prioritize Canadians and Canadian corporations for goods and services. This will prevent Canada from becoming dependent on foreign entities (governments, corporations, and people) who may have ulterior interests.
There are many facets to the Canada First initiative:
- quality education
- diverse economy
- market competition
- encouraging small and medium-sized businesses
- encouraging co-operatives
- restricting foreign ownership and influence
The Canada First initiative will support all sectors — from mining to manufacturing to high technology — to make Canada quasi-self-sufficient and a competitive internationally.
The Canada First initiative will promote modernization for sustainability and environmental stewardship, so that future generations have a safe and prosperous society.
