This means having a strong and effective military — commonly called the Canadian Forces.
We help our allies when they need it, and they help us when we need it, from sovereignty and security to peacekeeping to training to natural disasters. Canada is recognized as a diplomat and peacekeeper — a country that strives to resolve issues for the benefit of all parties involved. Canadian soldiers often train other country’s militaries to better defend themselves.
A NovaConservative government is committed to putting a minimum of 5 % of Canada’s GDP to the Canadian Forces.

Historically, Canada has purchased prebuilt vehicles, planes, and ships. WHY? When Canada has struggling manufacturing facilities and shipyards that sit idle. As part of the Canada-first Initiative,
a NovaConservative government would enable and prioritize Canadian engineers and Canadian facilities to work with the Canadian Forces to produce quality resources.
