Northern Initiative

Northern Canada is resource rich and becoming a trade and tourist route. It is also ecologically fragile and home to many unique species.

Arctic cities

At least three cities will be built on the arctic coast. They will be reasonably spaced so as to provide sovereignty, safe harbor, and rapid response. These cities will serve as centers for

  • tourism
  • scientific research
  • resource extraction
  • ship repair
  • sovereignty

Patrol vessels

An arctic sovereignty force will be established that will focus on search and rescue, law enforcement, and defense. This force will be a joint force, with representation from the military, police, and coast guard. The force will have aerial and naval defense capabilities.

Food sustainability

Fruits and vegetables are costly to transport to arctic communities. New technologies make it possible to grow nutritious fruits and vegetables in shipping containers anywhere on Earth. Integrating these technologies into Canadian and arctic communities will make nutritious foods available at reasonable costs, throughout the year.
